Gouldsburger’S Information

Tucked along Kings Highway in Haddonfield, Gouldsburger’S feels like one of those classic American diners that locals quietly rely on but visitors are always glad they stumbled into. The location at 109 Kings Hwy E places it right in the heart of town, making it an easy stop whether you’re wandering through nearby shops or heading out for a casual bite. From the outside, it has that unpretentious, welcoming vibe, and once you step in, the atmosphere follows through with a laid-back, no-frills charm that’s all about comfort.

The menu leans heavily into what you’d expect from a great burger joint, but there’s enough variety to keep things interesting. Burgers are clearly the star, cooked to order with a satisfying balance of juiciness and flavor, and paired with classic toppings or a few more creative twists depending on your mood. On one visit, a simple cheeseburger stood out not because it tried too hard, but because it nailed the basics-fresh bun, well-seasoned patty, and just the right melt on the cheese. Sides like fries and onion rings come out hot and crispy, exactly what you want alongside a burger.

Service tends to be friendly and straightforward, which fits the overall tone of the place. Staff are quick to greet you, and while it’s not a fine dining experience, there’s a genuine attentiveness that makes you feel taken care of. Orders arrive without much delay, even during busier hours, and there’s a sense that the team knows their regulars well, something you don’t always find in more polished spots.

What stands out in many reviews is the consistency. Regulars often mention that the food tastes the same every time they come in, which is a bigger compliment than it might sound. In a world where restaurants sometimes chase trends, this place sticks to what it does best. It’s not trying to reinvent the diner experience, and that’s exactly why it works.

The atmosphere is casual enough for a quick lunch but still comfortable if you want to linger a bit. You’ll see a mix of families, solo diners, and groups of friends, all drawn in by the same promise of reliable comfort food. While there isn’t a huge amount of publicly available detail about sourcing or specialty ingredients, the overall experience suggests a focus on freshness and straightforward preparation.

For anyone exploring Haddonfield’s dining scene, this spot offers a grounded, satisfying option that feels authentic without trying too hard, making it easy to see why it continues to earn steady praise from the local community.

What People's Say About Place

1st time at Gouldburgers. I bought their Prime ribeye cheesesteak with Cooper Sharp and fried onions. Very delicious on a scale from 1 to 10 I would say an 8.7. Angelos is still the gold standard but solid cheesesteak delicious seasoned quality beef, cheese creamy and delicious Everything bagel roll. The Truffle fries were decent with a delicious aoli but the fries themselves need to be thinner so the truffle oil flavor with the parmesan can resonate. Very crispy though and still good. I recommend 100% and will be back. Only drawback is parking lol

Been here for food three times- Food was top tier every one of those visits. The rolls are amazing, hard enough on the outside that it doesn't get soggy, but the bread is still soft on the side. The meat itself is seasoned really well, the onions are the perfect size and texture, and it has the perfect amount of cheese. I also had the buffalo chicken cheesesteak, and the same sentiments above apply. Except, the blue cheese is the perfect amount compared to other places. I also like how they cut the chicken compared to other places as well. The fries here are also perfect, and an order of them comes with the perfect amount for sharing. Definitely my favorite cheesesteak place, ever. Their other location in Medford is also just as good.

Incredible gluten free cheesesteak- so flavorful, the whole menu has gluten free options including fried chicken sandwiches. All the appetizers as well- gf fired pickles, gf onion rings, game changer for someone who is gluten free!

The cheesesteak was awesome. The fried pickles were cut thin and lightly dusted so they didn't get soggy. Would definitely go back!

This place is great! David Murray, the business owner has DONE IT AGAIN! Amazing food, service and clean establishment. The food is made with FRESH ingredients, NEVER frozen. My favorite place to get a buffalo chicken cheesesteak since I don't eat red meat. I always consistently recommend Gouldsburgers for the GO TO cheesesteak place. If you haven't tried them yet, "What are you waiting for?" Ciao!

Hands down best burger I’ve had in a LONG time. It was juicy and flavorful literally dripping when you take a bite. Perfectly cooked to medium rare. All the toppings were fresh and neatly assembled. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The only problem is now I’m gonna go broke buying all these burgers from here! Lol

Delicious burgers and best onion rings we ever had. My wife says she doesn't want to brush her teeth so she can savor the flavors. This is the real deal! It is a place that uses quality ingredients and the results are amazing. The service was great as well. There was a minor mix up with our order but when they realized it, they went so far to make it up to us. These are some truly awesome people that really care about the food and the people they're feeding it to. Thanks for being great! Will definitely be back here the next time we're in the area.

The staff was so polite and welcoming. I witnessed their interactions with a few customers while I waited, and it was fun and playful. The food was delicious. It's totally worth the $13 price tag for the burger. Everything tasted fresh. The flavors balanced well - nothing too overbearing. I asked for no onions because they are usually overpowering. I noticed there were onions halfway through, but it didn't taste overpowering - which was refreshing. The burger also wasn't soaked or soggy, although it sat while we drove home. The fries were sharable size. They also tasted fresh and nicely salted. After ordering online, we were told twenty minute wait. I went in at twenty minute mark it was just finishing up and was ready.
